Background
Harusi is the brain child of Thitu Kariba. It began as an idea for a TV programme while she was working for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation in 2008. Things did not go as planned an she left the station and ventured out on her own. She made the necessary investments to see a TV pilot program come to pass and delivered it to the media houses in Kenya that were available to her. None responded favorably. Determined to see her dream come to a reality, Thitu gave up on the idea of a TV show and instead decided to take it to the world wide web. Here she discovered she would have the advantage of print, visual and audio media working for her and that what she had to share would be able to cut across borders at the click of a mouse.
The road ahead was a difficult one that required a great deal of financial investment and man power which Thitu did not have much of. With the support of her father for capital, a computer and a simple digital camera Thitu chose to use what she had and let god meet her where her rope would run out. God was faithful and brought the people she needed her way. With the Power or three. Her web designer, article editor and herself acting as photographer, article writer and Miss Moss Harusi hit the internet on 01.04.10.
Harusi has since developed from just being another website to being a medium through which relevant information and light is transmitted to an international audience. Our readers are from as far off as Bahrain, Asia, the Middle East, USA, UK and many more. With the great developments each day that arise on the internet Harusi, will become much more than the initial TV programme that Thitu dreamt of in the cafeteria of local TV Station.
Who are we?
We are a group of young Christians, who understand that the airwaves and the internet is a powerful medium that can be used both positively or negatively to suggest, and create thought and ideas in their audience that will affect the behavior, and impact the way they live life and make their day to day decisions. We are a people concerned with the future of our generation in especially the areas of relationships, love, marriage, sex and family.
What do we do?
We at Harusi prepare the youth from the time they begin to date, say yes to a marriage proposal, I do at the end of the isle and into their ever after for all the things that come up in every area. We understand that preparation goes beyond what we see, the outward appearance or the physical and that we must deal with the mind, body, heart and souls preparation too. We create a link through each page between the person able to provide the tools, products or service required for that preparation and the one who needs it. We create a platform for the service providers in the relevant areas of expertise to showcase their work and products so that the audience may have look and choose and prepare themselves accordingly.
How do we do what we do?

Why do we do what we do?
Above and beyond Harusi being a business and the wedding industry its market place, we do what we do for the Glory and honor of God. Our visionaries mandate is, To rise up a generation that cannot help but wait on God. In her young life Thitu aka Miss Boss has made several of the mistakes many of your youth make today in relationships and now aims to let them know they have a choice. To help prepare them to be successful and happy in relationships and marriage through a good and pure love that comes from God.
We have a word that we live by so that we may never be caught unprepared on that big day, not just outwardly but our minds, bodies and souls too
Luke 12:35-36 (New Living Translation)
35 “Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks.
